The Adventure Syndicate are a not-for-profit organisation who use the inspiring stories of women adventuring by bike to encourage our audience to push their perceived limitations. We do this not by showing ourselves to be all knowing, powerful and impressive but by being open and honest about our own limitations, vulnerabilities and failures too.
We are passionate collaborators and believe whole-heartedly in the strength and power to be found in mutually co operative and considerate groups who strive to focus on the greater good rather than aim for personal success.
We use the written word, talks, films, podcasts, informal rideouts, training camps and skills courses in order to not only inspire people but to practically encourage and enable them to take on their own challenges.
The Directors
The Syndicateers
The Adventure Syndicate is a collective of endurance riders who happen to be women. Anyone who has ever come on a training camp or event can consider themselves a Syndicateer. We have a huge pool of incredible women who’s strength and skill we frequently call upon to help us make films, create podcasts, partner us in races, match our pace on adventures, lead our camps and manage our accounts! They include:
Phillipa Battye | Alice Lemkes | Kate Rawles | Laura Moss | Harriet Pike | Janet Kerr | Jo Gibson | Karen Darke | Katrina Brown | Pennie Latin…(it goes on)
We are nestled into our bivvy bags, the crackling of the last flames of fire burning out as our final night comes to a close. The moon is bright and stars twinkle between the silhouettes of trees we will later be sleeping amongst. It’s amazing how quickly the rain and cold and hills of the day are forgotten as clothes are changed, hot drinks brewed and curious conversation fuels the connection that has started to build within this group throughout the week.
