Resolution Race

Four women, two cargo bikes, six days, Edinburgh to Copenhagen. What could possibly go wrong? In 2019, The Adventure Syndicate set out to challenge body and mind. Resolution Race was not a race in the traditional sense, but a demonstration of how far collective resolve, collaboration and kindness can take us in the race to save our planet.

Resolution Race is the latest feature film from The Adventure Syndicate and has been selected by international film festivals including Kendal Mountain Festival and the Lady Wild Film Festival.

The Highland Trail 550  is a fully self-supported individual mountain bike time trial in the Scottish Highlands. Riders depart from Tyndrum and race 550 miles off-road in as fast a time as possible. They can eat and sleep when they like but the clock doesn't stop.

Joining The Dots is Lee Craigie's narrative of the 2016 race supported by James Robertson's images spliced with the stories of others riders.

With the foreword by race founder Alan Goldsmith and the main narrative by Adventure Syndicate athlete Lee Craigie, the story is supported by the words of competitiors Ian Fitz, Javi Simon, Liam Glen and Philip Addyman. Lee's sister Kim offers a fascinating insight from a "dot-watcher's" point of view, having watched the five-day race unfold on Trackleaders (a website where riders are represented as coloured dots on a map via live GPS tracking).

These voices tell the gripping, life-changing, euphoric tale of this unique adventure in the Scottish Highlands.

Divided

In 2017, Rickie Cotter and Lee Craigie rode the Tour Divide, a 2745 mile self-supported mountain bike race from Canada to the Mexican border. Shot entirely using a Go Pro and an iPhone, this film documents the journey the two friends made in a way The Adventure Syndicate hope inspires and encourages the watcher to get out there and have their own adventure.

Any profits made from this film go back into The Adventure Syndicate; a not-for-profit social enterprise that creates inspiring online content and delivers hands on training to some of the most marginalised people. It is our mission to help everyone discover they are capable of more than they think they are.
