In the summer of 2018 Jenny Graham rode her way into the Guinness Book of World Records by becoming the fastest woman to circumnavigate the world by bike. Completing her ride solo and unsupported she covered 18,000 miles in 124days, knocking almost three weeks off the previous (supported) record of 144 days set by Italy’s Paola Gianotti in 2014.
Starting her journey in Berlin on 16 June 2018, Jenny cycled 15 hours a day, often riding through the night when the roads were quieter. She managed an average of 156 miles a day and an average speed of 14mph a day.
The 18,000 mile route took her over four continents and into 16 countries. Battling through tornados, bear country and Russian traffic, Jenny tells her story with a humorous take on the highs and lows of the ventures she endured.
