What are you afraid of? And do you let it stop you?
To celebrate the launch of The Quad, The Adventure Syndicate Race Team, we're gathering four of cycling's most fabulous women, hosted by our partners Leigh Day Cycling and Spin Cycling Festival, for a frank discussion of what scares them, the demons they've overcome in the past, and how fear can sometimes motivate us as much as it holds us back.

Jools Walker (a.k.a. Lady Velo) is the cycle-style blogger behind VeloCityGirl. She started VCG in March 2010 when she bought her Pashley Princess bike… and assumed that would be the only bike she’d ever want. After years of working within the cycling industry, in 2016 she went full time with VeloCityGirl and working as a host / MC and presenter on ITV’s The Cycle Show.
Maria David is a writer and freelance journalist. Her blog, 2wheelchick, talks about various aspects of women's cycling. When she's not writing Maria gets out on her bike in various environments - club rides, cyce touring, commuting, and racing. Since catching the bug for racing in 2002, Maria has taken part in competitive road and cyclocross events. She was also part of the team that founded the original London Women's Cycle Racing league in 2010.
Helen Lloyd says she's an engineer, but also writes books and spends most of her time doing other things... mostly in remote corners of the globe. Like cycling through Siberia in winter, packrafting in Nicaragua, horse-riding in Kyrgyzstan, and riding her motorbike across Africa. After a prolonged separation, she is now reacquainted with her mountain bike and wondering 'what next?
Sarah Outen is an adventurer by land and sea, having spent the best (and worst!) part of the last eight years on long expeditions. Her four bikes are called Hercules, Atlas, Beetle and Swifty. She has a sourdough starter called Grace. Her latest book is called Dare to Do.
