A full weekend of road cycling in one of the most glorious parts of the UK, with Laura Moss and Emily Chappell.
A training opportunity for some, and a sociable riding weekend for others, this will be a chance to spend a whole weekend cycling, eating, and swapping stories with likeminded people.
If you've signed up for an ultra-endurance event later in the year (or just like really long bike rides) Transcontinental-winner Emily Chappell will be heading out on a 200km ride over some of Yorkshire's finest hills. Join her if you want to push your boundaries, test out your muscles, and get some training miles in for whatever lies ahead.
If you're preparing for a long-distance bike tour, or want to go for a sociably paced ride with a cake stop, round-the-world cyclist Laura Moss will be setting off on a 100km ride through the spectacular scenery of the Yorkshire Dales.
There will also be options for an evening ride on Friday, and another long ride on Sunday, depending on people's travel plans.
We've designed this weekend to be as affordable as possible. The £85 price tag includes two nights' accommodation in Skirfare Barn Bunkhouse (you'll need to bring a sleeping bag), some snacks, breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, and dinner on Saturday night. If you'd like to come, but think you'll struggle to afford it, let us know, and we'll see what we can do.
Skirfare Barn is a 12-mile ride from the nearest station (Skipton), has a full kitchen (for self-catering), and is a 10-minute walk from the nearest pub (for eating out).
We anticipate this weekend will fill up quite quickly, so book early to avoid disappointment!
Price for weekend: £85
These rides are designed to be an opportunity for like-minded women to come together, explore the countryside and see what they're capable of. Participants will help to set the pace, support each other, and enjoy a couple of days of riding in a beautiful place, all in the spirit of collaboration and co-operation. Instead of formal, guided events, the Adventure Syndicate merely facilitates and the money you pay just about covers our costs.
You will be entirely responsible for yourself on these rides. We'll all be looking out for each other, but The Adventure Syndicate can't be held responsible or be held liable in the case of mishaps. All riders should make sure they are fit enough to take part, and bring their own repair kit, appropriate clothing, and a means of navigating back to base should they decide to do something different from everyone else.
