PROVISIONAL PROGRAMME:
Speaker: Emily Chappell
Emily is one of the founders of The Adventure Syndicate, a collective of extraordinary cyclists who happen to be women and who aim to challenge what others think they are capable of. She is a former cycle courier turned ultra-distance cyclist and was the first woman across the line (by 2 days) in the 2016 Transcontinental race, an annual, self-supported, ultra-distance cycling race across Europe. It is one of the world's toughest races. Her My first book was published by Guardian Faber in January 2016 and you can also read her stuff on the Guardian Bike Blog.
Film: Escape. Lee Craigie’s inner journey along the Caledonia Way for Sustrans.
Film: My Ride. A short documentary about London's only all female muslim bicycle club - commissioned by London Live, in partnership with the Evening Standard. This award winning short was produced and directed by Jessie Ayles and we hope will be able to join us on the night.
Film: Georgena Terry. A profile of Georgena Terry, founder of Terry Precision Bicycles for Women and designer of custom, hand built steel bicycles for women. Thanks to Amanda Zackem who produced and directed this film for allowing us to screen it.
