Are you planning a big trip on your bike? Perhaps you've signed up for a long-distance event in 2017 and are thinking 'oh no - what now?' Or is it that you'd love to ride long distances, but can't quite get your head round the practicalities?
Emily Chappell has teamed up with Katie Kingham of Women v Cancer to help you figure out everything you need to know to tackle a long-distance challenge - training, nutrition, navigation, bike set-up, day-to-day logistics and, most importantly, how to develop the mental strength to keep yourself going when the going gets tough.
This event is the ideal opportunity to learn from someone who has planned out numerous adventures and taken on long-distance challenges with great success (as well as making a lot of mistakes and learning valuable lessons along the way). There will also be the opportunity to ask any questions you might have to help you feel ready and confident to take on the challenge that lies ahead.
Tickets are limited (so book now to avoid disappointment!), with a suggested minimum donation of £7.
All profits from the evening will be donated to Women vs Cancer, who, through cycling challenges such as Ride The Night, End to End, Vietnam to Cambodia, support three women-specific cancer charities: Breast Cancer Care, Ovarian Cancer Action and Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust. These rides are aimed at normal women doing amazing things.
