The training camp is now fully booked. We're very sorry if you're disappointed, but we'll be running many more in future. Keep an eye on our website and social media for details, or sign up to our newsletter.
We are very excited to announce the first Adventure Syndicate training camp, hosted and supported by Girona Cycling and catering especially for female endurance cyclists.
Designed to help you get your winter miles in, whether you're building towards a long-distance event or training for a season of shorter races, the camp will be led by Syndicate athletes Lee Craigie and Emily Chappell (with input from John Hampshire Coaching) who will lead you on daily road-based rides through the beautiful Spanish countryside and the foothills of the Pyrenees.
The training camp is aimed at cyclists who want to increase their strength and endurance in preparation for riding further and faster in 2017. We will offer tailor-made training programmes for every participant to help them get the most of the camp and provide a structure to follow afterwards. There will be flexibility on hours spent in the saddle each day to ensure participants of varying fitness levels and objectives get what they need out of the week. In addition to the long rides (between 50 and 150km) we'll be offering:
- Specialist, tailored coaching starting with a pre camp questionnaire and ending with an individual ongoing winter training strategy
- Daily led ride outs with strength, endurance and speed sessions included.
- Evening workshops to address the physical, mental and practical challenges of long-distance cycling including navigation, essential bike maintenance and core conditioning.
- Inspirational talks to help fire you up for whatever challenges 2017 holds for you.
The camp will be based at Mas Pelegri, a 3-star sports hotel 30 minutes from Girona airport, and the price includes transfers, accommodation (based on 3 people sharing a room), breakfast and dinner. Guests will also have access to the hotel's 25m pool, sauna and gym. You can bring your own bike, or hire one from our partners, Girona Cycling.
